We're excited to announce Creative Media Labs - creative cluster funding from AHRC for University of York, Screen Yorkshire and the BFI to complement DC Labs and support and grow screen industries in Yorkshire and Humber
BBC Research and Development, York Mediale and the Digital Creativity Labs are delighted to announce a collaborative opportunity for an artist to create personalised, interactive, adaptive video experience.
Commissioned for York Mediale, What is Love? will be showing in Holy Trinity Church throughout the first week of October, showcasing a new form of storytelling through a short film which allows you to make decisions about what happens, providing you with a completely personalised experience!
An unprecedented amount of data exists about our lives, environments and the people we share them with. By empowering large numbers of people to access and interpret this data, we can transform the way we understand and make decisions about key aspects of our lives and have a greater say in how we are treated by the government and other groups.
Esports matches are fast and furious and can be difficult to understand. We've developed an app for a smart phone to work as a second screen to use the rich data available in esports matches to help viewers get a better understanding of what's going on.
This workshop will explore the delivery of interactive and social, non-linear televisual experiences, and their design and implementation beyond the confines of small-scale research test-cases. Applications are now open for researchers and practitioners to submit a position paper.
